Deadman's Pedal Kiepe TFS 001/Built-in design

Usually, the service readiness of rail vehicle drivers is monitored via a deadman’s circuit. The driver actuates the deadman’s circuit via a deadman’s pedal.

The deadman’s pedal TFS 001 is designed for sunk installation into the fl oor or hight adjustable platforms.

To monitor the driver’s service readiness, the driver has to press his deadman’s pedal down into the midway position, which is felt via a pressure point. The break contact is closed in this position. The contacts can be switched over into the other positions by unloading the pedal or pressing it into its end position, respectively.
